The music I love

Paolo loves classical music and, as you have already understood, the Milanese cabaret. When Paolo listens to music, I always lie down next to him. As bracco Q, I really love listening to what has a special meaning to me. In alphabetical order:

Baroque music, especially:

Tomaso Albinoni - Concerts Op. 7 - When I listen to these concerts I imagine I see the carnival parties in Venice, all dressed in elegant costumes, with the knights dancing and bowing to their ladies!

J. S. Bach - Orchestral Suites - Very sweet music, it makes me dream when I listen to it in front of the fireplace!

Jeremiah Clarke - Trumpet Voluntary. The signal hunting can start!

Corelli - Concerti Grossi, Op.6.

Alessandro Marcello - Concerti la Cetra.

And then:

Leonard Bernstein - West Side Story.

Giovanni Bolzoni - Minuetto - Conducted by da Arturo Toscanini with the NBC Orchestra 1943.

Robert Burns - The songs by the Scottish poet, like My Heart's In The Highlands - a homage to his native land.

"Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North, The birth-place of Valour, the country of Worth; Wherever I wander, wherever I rove, The hills of the Highlands for ever I love..."

I Camaleonti - Lei mi dara' un bambino. A poem in music!

Adriano Celentano - Il ragazzo della via Gluck. Oh, good old times. Happiness when you have little and loose it when you have too much!

Cochi e Renato - All of their songs! Look at their link on the “Music” page.

Equipe 84 - Auschwitz, Tutta mia la città, 29 settembre. A poem in music!

I Giganti - Tema. That wonderful bass tone!

I Gufi - All of their songs! Look at their link on the “Music” page. Listen to their poems in music: Che bello, Si può morire e Gh'e` ammo` un quaivun!

Georg Friedrich Händel - Concerti Grossi.

Giorgio Gaber - La libertà, Le Mani, La nave, La benda, Oh Madonnina Dei Dolori, Nixon, Le carte, Le elezioni, L’America. All biting satires!

Carol King - You've Got a Friend, Tapestry.

Andrew Lloyd Webber - Jesus Christ Superstar.

Mike Oldfield - Voyager.

Gianni Morandi - C'era un ragazzo che come me amava I Beatles e I Rolling Stones. A poem in music on the tragedy of the Vietnam war.

Modest Mussorgsky - Pictures for an Exhibition.

Amadeus Mozart - k525 Eine kleine Nachtmusik - What joy, I can follow the rhythm by wagging my tail! And also his symphonies, so cheerful!

Carl Orff - Carmina Burana.

Nikolaj Rimsky-Korsakov - Sheherazade.

Giacomo Rossini - Il Barbiere di Siviglia - What a joy to hear this melodrama, it makes me want to run all over the house!

Snapsvisor, the traditional Scandinavian drinking songs. These songs are profound reflections on life, followed by a moment of meditation and a small shot of spirit that is called a snaps.

Richard Strauss - Also Sprach Zarathustra - Listen to the introduction in C major. It is like in Nietzsche's book, think of the sunrise between the jagged mountains of Persia: it rises on the plain, is hidden by the first peak, rises a little and shines again on the plain, becomes hidden by the second peak and rises even more, and so on until it is so high that it shines free. Here is the majestic ending of the introduction!

Nanni Svampa (sung by) - Si Chiamava Ambroeus - Paolo wrote a transposition of the text to adapt it to my life: His name was Bracco Q and he was…!

John Williams - Star Wars, Main Title - A perfect accompaniment for when I go hunting!
